verglas workers follow wraps a local process or tails a local file. It appends each captured line as a row and stops when you press Control-C.
Follow workers are local-only because they observe a process or file on the server host. You cannot push a follow worker to cloud or fleet placement.

Follow a command

Capture both standard output and standard error from a command:
The worker unregisters when the command ends or you press Control-C. Add --keep to leave the worker registered.

Follow a file

Tail an application log:
If you omit --table, Verglas writes to follow.<name>.

Write to the cloud lakehouse

The follow process still runs locally after verglas login. The local server can write captured rows to the tenant’s cloud lakehouse because login configures the server’s scoped backend and catalog access. This behavior does not turn follow into a cloud worker. The observed process or file must remain on the local server host.
